SpeakAsian CEO Tarak Bajpai had been detained by EOW

As you all are aware that Mr Tarak Bajpai ( COO of Speak Asia ) had been detained by EOW for investigation purpose, and on 4th August the custody was increased further uptill 12th August. Today there was another court hearing and here are the updates:

EOW could not find any substantial evidence against Speak Asia even after the remand was extended from 4th August to 12th August.

There were many channels which were showing that EOW has found that Speak Asia does not have their clients - of-course today's court hearing proves it wrong.

EOWs demand for another extension of Police Custody for 14 more days was denied by the Court.

The Court has send Mr Tarak Bajpai and other detained officials into a Judicial Custody till 16th (as until 16th the court is closed)

On 16th a Bail Application will be filed and there will be a court hearing on 16th - this hearing will not be a hearing on investigation but on the release of Mr Bajpai and other officials.

12 August 2011 - The Day Speak Asia Tasted 1st victory Step on the Road of Success. 15th August is India's Independence Day and A day after ie. 16th August could be Independence Day for Speak Asia too, Lets Hope for the best by showing our Strength in form of togetherness.

1) That the bail application was not heard on 12th August by the court as the SAY of the public prosecutor will be available on 16th August, 2011 so the bail application will now be heard on 16th August. 2) That Mr. Tarak Bajpai and 4 others were now sent to JC (judicial Custody).

3) The Income Tax Department made an application for Taraks Custody but our council Mr. Abhat Ponda vehemently opposed this and said that there is no provision under law for IT dept to get custody of the accused, he said the IT dept can come and investigate Mr. Tarak while he is in JC.

4) A new FIR was filed by the Thane Police on a complaint of a panelist for Rs 1,00,000/- in Mira road police station andf the Thane police were seeking a 14 day remand. Once again on strong arguments put up by the council of SAOL the court rejected the FIR and additional custody was denied.

5) In the Matter of the arrest of Mr.Rahul Shah Vp of Tulsiant Info the same Mr Ponda took the prosecutors to the laundry and bombarded the Mumbai police and also threatened them with filing a writ petition for defamation. His case was that they have arrested a wrong person in a wrong case. He further went on to explain that Tulsianttech is a company which had dealings with SAOL but Tulsiantinfo had no dealings with SAOL. He further submitted before the court that Tulsiantinfo was a company which is a registered company and had licence to import LCD/LED Tvs. He wanted to know from the police and the prosecution what record they had to prove that Tulsianttech and Tulsiantinfo were the same company as they were trying to prove. As the Prosecution could not prove the Court sent the accused to only 3 days of PCR (Police custody remand) and the bail application will be also heard on 16th.

*Mr. Tarak along with others 5 are out from EOW's Custody but they are now sent to Judicial Custody till 16th August. On 16th August Court will give Decision on their Bail. *
